You will receive an email with similar information before camp if your camper is bringing medicine with them to camp:

If there are medications NOT on the list in the email you receive that your camper will be bringing, it is because we are missing a Medication Authorization Form signed by YOU and a DOCTOR indicating that your camper has permission to take this medication.

As a reminder, when your camper comes to camp with their medication, it needs to come in the original prescription bottle/packaging with the pharmacy label on the bottle/packaging, with only the number of pills/doses needed for that day (or, multiple days in the case of an overnight camp). This is a MD Department of Health regulation, and is a policy that is both beyond our control AND designed to protect your camper from mis-administration of medication.

We CANNOT administer medication if it does not meet this criteria. If your camper arrives to camp with improperly-packaged medication, we will contact you and hold onto the medication until we have the proper packaging/prescription.

Please remember that ALL NON-EMERGENCY MEDICATIONS are held by our staff. Emergency medications are self-carried by campers if this option is notated on the Medication Authorization Form, and carried by our staff otherwise.
