Private Lessons

Learning to become a competent rider depends upon understanding your own strengths and weaknesses. The Calleva team will help you map out a progressive plan to get you riding at the level you seek in a creative & fun environment!

Your Instructor will guide you through a variety of exercises and classes that will build confidence and skill utilizing our wide ranging facilities: trails, cross-country fields, indoor and outdoor arenas.

Our program is founded on excellent horsemanship & the human-animal connection. Once students can competently cool down and return their horse to the proper stall, more lesson time can be allocated to riding since the student can use their own time to finish put away after their lesson.

• Ages: 7+
• 180 lbs Limit
• Winter/Spring/Fall: lessons on Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays
• New Students fill out this form to be placed on our waitlist

Group Lesson (2-4 riders) – $720 for 12-session Fall Season

Individual Lesson – $1,080 for 12-session Fall Season

We do not offer lessons during the summer months since our horses are engaged daily in summer camp.

Tiny Tots

Tiny Tots riding lessons are created especially for children ages 3 to 6. The children are taught to groom and saddle the horses and ponies before each lesson.

Parents are required to stay and assist in leading their child as the child learns exercises on horseback, a very fun and exciting way to engage your pre-schoolers with other children and animals.

Please note: Tiny Tots is only held in the fall, winter, and spring, we do not run this program during summer.

Leasing

An excellent introduction to horse ownership! Leasing students treat their assigned horse as though he or she was their own without the added costs of vet and farrier visits, de-worming and feed expenses.

Calleva offers two options:

FULL LEASE allows 5 rides/week | Cost $500/month 

HALF LEASE allows 3 rides/week | $250/month

Leasers will be paired with a suitable horse & lessons may be required (not included in leasing price).

Practice Rides

Riders who are experienced enough and would like to practice ride without any specific instruction or without being a leaser may schedule a 1-hour ride with one of Calleva’s horses in our outdoor or indoor arena.

You will be evaluated in a lesson on your first ride to assess your level and needs. Practice riders MUST be confident, experienced, and able to independently catch, groom, and tack up a horse.

ONE HOUR Practice Ride: $40 per rider
