Small Group Lessons

Learning to become a competent rider depends upon understanding your own strengths and weaknesses. The Calleva team will help you map out a progressive plan to get you riding at the level you seek in a creative & fun environment!

Your Instructor will guide you through a variety of exercises and classes that will build confidence and skill utilizing our wide ranging facilities including trails, indoor and outdoor arenas.

Our program is founded on excellent horsemanship & the human-animal connection. Once students can competently bring in, groom, and tack their horses, as well as cool down and turn out after riding, more lesson time can be allocated to riding.

• 180 lbs Limit
• Weekday afternoons, Saturdays & Sundays

Small Group Lesson (2-4 riders)
$420 for 6 classes

We do not offer lessons during the summer months since our horses are engaged daily in summer camp.

Tiny Tots

Tiny Tots classes are designed for children ages 3 to 6 to get comfortable on the ground and in the saddle with horses. The children are taught to groom and saddle the horses before each lesson and, while mounted, learn steering, different riding positions, and even beginning trot if they wish.

Parents are required to stay and assist in leading their child’s horse during the lesson. No experience needed and returnees welcome.

Pony Picnics

Pony Picnics are designed to introduce children ages 1-4 to the fun of horses in a relaxed, hands-on environment. Each session includes grooming and feeding the ponies as well as a pony ride! Our instructors encourage the children to build confidence and form relationships with these special animals.

Stay after for a picnic together. Calleva will provide horsey toys for the little ones ⎯ BYO lunch!

Parents are required to stay and assist their child as they learn horse skills. This is a very fun way to engage your toddler with other children and animals. No experience needed and returnees welcome.
