Teen camps at Calleva offer experiential and outdoor education programs for youth. We offer carefully crafted weeklong wilderness trips for teens.

Calleva’s High Adventure (HA) and Leaders In Training (LIT) programs challenge young people to push past their limits. By balancing responsibility, risk, and reward, they learn to take bold, intentional actions with confidence and compassion—leading to lasting personal growth.

These programs push teens to step outside their comfort zones, whether by tackling rugged terrain or stretching their own leadership capacity. Whether your teen craves outdoor adventure or a pathway to personal development, Calleva offers the ultimate summer experience.

Both High Adventure and LIT programs offer youth transformative outdoor experiences—but with distinct goals.

High Adventure
(ages 12-16)

These Wilderness expeditions: a full week (or 2!) of camping with a focus on building outdoor skills, learning an adventure sport, and developing self-sufficiency. Campers immerse themselves in backcountry environments, mastering activities like rock climbing, kayaking, caving, and backpacking.

By the end of the week, they gain the confidence to navigate the wilderness and experience their own capacity to add value in a team environment.

Leaders in Training
(ages 13-16)

These experiences are centered on personal development, teamwork, and leadership. Through guided challenges, reflection, and mentorship, LIT campers build communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and resilience.

Rather than focusing on technical wilderness skills, LIT fosters growth in confidence, responsibility, and community leadership—skills that translate far beyond camp.
