Calleva Horse Adventures offers after school Saddle Club and after school TEEN Saddle Club, where students spend time outdoors playing games, taking riding lessons, practicing horsemanship, and taking responsibility for barn chores at Calleva Farm.

Students (1st Grade – Middle School) may sign up for one or several days a week, and space is limited. All levels welcome. Transportation is NOT provided. Parent drop off required.

Saddle Club

CHAPs offers after school Saddle Club for students 1st – 8th grade. TEEN Saddle Club

Teen Saddle Club is specifically geared towards rides ages 11-16 who are ready to dive a little deeper into the barn experience. Students receive instruction on horse care, training, and wellbeing and are responsible for taking care of their horse before and after the riding lesson. In addition to a 45 minute riding lesson targeted towards your teen’s individual riding ability & goals, Teen Saddle Club participants engage in team building activities across the farm.

Ages 11-16

• Instruction on horse care, training, and wellbeing
• Trail rides & arena lessons targeted towards your teen’s individual riding ability & goals (45 minutes)
• Team-building & leadership activities on and off the horse

$600 per session (10 classes)

School’s Out

No school? Come spend the day at the barn!

On days without school, CHAPs is excited to welcome elementary and middle school students to the farm for a fun, hands-on day filled with horses, barn activities, and farm adventure.

Students will meet our horses, learn about basic horse care, ride in a 1 hour long group lesson with a trained instructor, enjoy horsey farm fun, and connect with others while being outdoors on the farm. No previous horse experience is required.

Stay tuned for these opportunities on school holidays, teacher workdays, and other days off from school!

Camp

During the summers, CHAPs offers a well regarded horseback riding Summer Camp for all horse enthusiasts. Each week, Horseback Riding campers are divided into 3 instructional groups based on age & ability.

Riders practice horsemanship on the ground as well as in the saddle with instruction on everything from grooming to trails, to arena riding.

Camp offers all of the fun and connection of camp, plus equestrian experience guided by expert instructors in a safe and supportive environment. Come join us and explore the Calleva Farm!
