Welcome to Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. Our Sampler Camp focuses on fun while exploring the beauty of West Virginia. We have created an itinerary with backpacking, rock climbing, rappelling, and caving to showcase the hidden gems just a few hours outside of Washington DC. Campers will begin the week backpacking in the backcountry learning how to travel, camp, cook, and what it means to be part of a team. While backpacking campers will be carrying everything the group needs for the 3 day expedition. When we return back from the wilderness the group heads to the local climbing craig for a day of rock climbing and rappelling. Before we head back to Riley’s we will make a pit stop in the Franklin area to explore the unknown of the underground. Throughout the week Calleva staff will push the campers to stretch themselves and push their comfort levels. This will be a week of FUN and ADVENTURE that showcases the beauty of West Virginia.
