Basic Itinerary:

Monday: Meet at Riley’s Lock 7:30am.  Drive down to Linville Gorge Wilderness Area.
Tuesday: Rock Climb, Rappelling, Tyrolean Traverse.  Camp in the gorge.
Wednesday: Load-up backpacking gear, hike down into gorge and explore.  Camp in gorge
Thursday: Swim and play in natural waterslides. Camp in gorge
Friday: Continue backpacking down gorge, swimming, waterfalling, canyoneering along the way.  Camp along gorge.
Saturday: Hike out and cleanup in river before heading back to Riley’s Lock.  ETA around noon.

If you are a camper looking for your next big adventure this summer, then look no further as Linville Gorge has everything you desire.  Linville Gorge is a 38 mile long and 1400 ft deep canyon that cuts through western North Carolina.  The wilderness area has pristine waterfalls, secluded trails, multi-pitch rock climbing, cliff jump, and natural waterslides.  The week will be all about finding these hidden treasures.  We begin the week with some rock climbing adventure before we head deep into the wilderness.  Tuesday-Friday we will be traverse the gorge, navigating the web of trails, creeks, canyons, and waterfalls.  This week is no ordinary walk through the woods.
