Overview:

Gresko’s Water Adventures features the best of the water activities at Calleva.  Each day we will explore different sections on the Potomac River from a different vessel.  Campers will get their “feet in wet” rafts, duckies (inflatable kayaks), Standup Paddleboards, and canoes. We’ll paddle on both whitewater and flat water while we search for the perfect swimming hole or rope swing. Since the campers are experiencing different activities each day, the Calleva-trained Instructor will focus on introductory skills and having fun rather than diving deeply into technical hard skills. The highlight of the week will be the water adventure overnight on Thursday and Friday, with ample time to play and have fun in the water. The overnight is a great opportunity to stretch comfort zones, and campers will be encouraged to challenge themselves and build self confidence.

Optional GearBags to purchase:

This year, Calleva is offering campers the option to purchase a GearBag during checkout which includes all the camping gear you will need for your overnight. These duffle bags come home with your camper on the bus before the overnight so it can be packed with personal clothes and toiletries!

Rain/Storm Plan:

We are aware that there are concerns regarding Rain & Storms at camp. Sometimes the weather requires a change in itinerary for water-related activities and overnights. If high water conditions cause safety concerns, Gresko’s Adventure groups will utilize a pre-planned alternative overnight location. We will continue with outdoor activities as long as it’s possible to be safe and with happy campers.
