The STOKE is high being able to return to our flow up North! Our Canadian friends are waiting for us to shred, boof, and huck some of their best brown. Looking for a team of hair boaters ready for church and not about chundering their way down some manky rapids. Expect some class fun with a slight chance of carnage.

This is a 7 day/6 night program
Week 9 (August 5-9)
Skills required: Whitewater paddle roll and comfort in class III+ whitewater

MD Girls Interm Kayaking (ages 9-15)

Girls Intermediate Kayaking Camp

$765/week
This week includes an exciting Thursday Overnight*!
Available weeks 4,6,7,8
Ages 9-15 / Required skills include the following:
- Wet exit
- Basic kayak control
- Some experience on Class II whitewater
Farm Lunches are available (+$60)
Transportation is available to/from Riley’s Lock
Travels off-site to various locations daily including
- Anglers’s Inn to Lock 10
- Mather Gorge
- Little Falls
- Harper’s Ferry
- Lower Yough
Skill development includes
- Boat Control & Advanced Strokes
- Attaining and Surfing
- Rolling techniques

*Thursday Night camp out is an integral part of the program and NOT OPTIONAL. It is not possible to pick up campers on Thursday or drop off on Friday for most overnight programs. If your camper does not want to participate in an overnight, please sign up for one of our NON OVERNIGHT options

WV High Adv Kayak (Ages 12-16)

Kayaking High Adventure
Our paddling school has taken off and with it we have so many amazing campers that are pushing their skills to the next level. While Adventure Camp is a good way to stay sharp, our multi-level High Adventures build confidence and push technical skills. The variety of rivers offer our campers the chance learn and adjust to new rapids and watersheds. Multiple kayak options lead to honing skills the camper feels is important to them, while continuing with our known wonderful leadership team.

Beginner Kayaking High Adventure
- $1,495/week for 5 day/4 night program
- Required skills: Some experience in a whitewater kayak and familiarity with wet exit (2 hour private lesson prior to this trip will provide the necessary experience!)
- Offered week 2 (June 17-21)
Intermediate Kayaking High Adventure
- $1,495/week for 5 day/4 night program
- Required skills: Comfort in class II whitewater and whitewater bow roll
- Offered week 3 (June 24-28)
Advanced Kayaking High Adventure
- $1,495/week for 5 day/4 night program
- Required skills: Whitewater paddle roll and comfort in class III+ whitewater
- Offered week 8 (July 29-Aug 2)

Monday drop off & Friday pick up at Riley’s Lock
- Drop off at 7:30am Monday
- Pick up at 5:00pm Friday

Ages 9-15 / Open to all skill levels, but some experience in a kayak (even on flatwater) is recommended
Transportation is available to/from The Madeira School
This camp is based at the Madeira School, but may travel to other sites nearby including
- Lock 10
- Mather Gorge/Maryland Chute
- Carderock
Skill development includes
- Boat control and paddle strokes
- Attainment and surfing
- Reading whitewater
