Aliya is an enthusiastic, second season instructor at Calleva. She recently graduated St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a B.A. in environmental studies and minored in education and spanish. She has been teaching sailing at the Washington Sailing School for 8 years, has previous outdoor education experience, and loves working with kids in nature. Aliya is excited to kayak, climb, hike, and surf with Calleva this season. A fun fact about her is that growing up, she had 9 indoor pets and now, has a golden retriever named Cheese.
