In this 4 hour class we will break down each section of the run and really focus on making moves that will challenge every student. Your experienced instructor will work with you in easier flat to moving water for the first part of the class to get to know you and your paddling and the lesson plan will flow from there. We will pick apart each rapid catching as many eddies as we can, ferrying across the river, and surf every wave we see. Often students take this class multiple times as they learn something new every time they go out.
Luckily for us, the Potomac River offers many perfect sections for us to choose from for this class. We will let you know the location Friday before the class. We base this off the river level and the skill of the group.
If you have a flat water roll and some class III experience, you may join us for this class. Intermediate paddlers are expected to bring their own boat and equipment. If you need to rent from us, please contact the office before hand. There is a $50 per day fee.
