Join us this winter to train and race the premier steep creek race in Mexico, the Alseseca! As a sponsor of the race, Calleva’s Liquid Adventures is proud to help you learn and practice lines on the drops and rapids of the Roadside Section of the Alseseca River. We will also visit local attractions such as the nearby ruins and several spectacular waterfalls. All paddling days are spent on the Alseseca other than one day exploring the narrow canyons of the upper Filo-Bobos (class III – IV-).
The last day of paddling is the Alseseca Race itself. Some will want to enter the short race and some will be ready to take on the long race. Others volunteer to help with the race, and others just like to enjoy the sun and spectate.
This is a fun week to interact with the Mexican paddling community, kayak pros, as well as learn some new skills on the river. Brush up your Spanish, and get your name on the registration list, because this is a great week in Mexico! Drysuit and elbow pads are recommended for this trip.
