Our goal for this 2 hour program is to get you excited about paddling and spending time on the river! We will introduce you to and get you fitted in the necessary paddling gear. Once out on the water, students will learn simple forward and backwards strokes as well as basic kayak maneuvers. Our experienced instructors will make sure you are comfortable out on the water. We will cruise around, keeping our eyes out for any wildlife that maybe flying overhead or on the water. By the end of the class students will be ready to take the Level 2 class.

In this introductory class students will be fitted for a whitewater kayak. Our whitewater kayaks are hardshell with an enclosed cockpit like the Jackson Antix or Liquid Logic Remix. This class is designed for first time kayakers and is also taken at the start of our Zero to Hero Progressive Learning Package. Any student signed up for 3 or more classes is welcome to join our Tuesday night Open Practice sessions. See You On The River (SYOTR)!
