One of Calleva’s core values is community.  We strive to promote strong community connections in Poolesville, Montgomery County and the greater Washington, DC region.  Part of our effort happens in collaboration with our incredible community partners:

Team River Runner. Support their Mission: TRR_VERT_P281_navyTo create an environment of healthy adventure, recreation and camaraderie for healing active duty, veteran service members and their families through adaptive kayaking.

C&O Canal Trust. CanalTrust-rentinaSupport their Mission: The C&O Canal Trust, as the official non-profit partner of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, works in partnership with the National Park Service and local communities to raise funds to preserve the Park for future generations and to broaden support through programs that highlight the Park’s historical, natural, and cultural heritage and recreational opportunities.

Potomac Riverkeeper. Potomac+Riverkeeper+NetworkSupport their Mission: “We work to protect the public’s right to clean water in our rivers and streams. We stop pollution to promote safe drinking water, protect healthy river habitats, and enhance public use and enjoyment.”

Girls on the Run of Montgomery County. Logo_0 Support their Mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.  Vision: We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

Linkages to Learning (Montgomery County). linkages to learningSupport their Mission: To improve the well-being of Montgomery County’s children and families through a collaborative delivery of comprehensive school-based services that support success at home, in school and in the community.

Sugarloaf Mountain. Stronghold, Incorporated is a non-profit corporation, organized in 1946 by the late Gordon Strong. It owns and operates the mountain property for the public’s “enjoyment and education in an appreciation of natural beauty.”

Poolesville High School’s Global Ecology.  Support their Mission: The Global Ecology House’s philosophy is to endow students with a sense of environmental citizenship, responsibility and appreciation for the natural world. GEH’s interdisciplinary honors science and social studies program teaches students the interconnections of the natural world and the impact of human activity on those systems.

Poolesville Athletic Association.  Support their Mission:The purpose of the Poolesville Athletic Association is to provide, organize and support area youth sport programs. The objectives of the Poolesville Athletic Association are: To promote and organize a youth sports programs on a basis where good sportsmanship and fair play will be practiced at all times. To consider health, welfare, and ability of each individual participant. To teach youth, through playing experience, the fundamentals of said sport while at the same time acting as a feeder system to the local secondary schools. To keep the welfare of each participant first and foremost, and to instill fair play and good sportsmanship.
