ABOUT ADVENTURE ISLAND: When we think of our childhood, we think about playing and exploring along the banks of waterways. This is the quintessential summer experience, what you did when you didn't go to camp! Remember leaving the backyard, and walking to the woods and waterways behind your house and dreaming up adventures that flooded your imagination. Well we just upped the ante, and gave our campers one amazing island with ropes challenges and the Swiss Family Robinson feel of freedom. A week when the minds of our campers steer the boats, and land on different worlds to discover. Nothing compares to the feeling of being on your own island and being out on your own private adventure. Exploring the dozens of neighboring islands and waterways that slice them into pieces. Rope Swing, Swim, and have at it in your own environment, with staff that share the excitement and also have a bag of tricks to offer up. Daily trips are made out to ours and other island for games and imaginative play. The week is broken up with a Maryland Rope Swing Tour, visiting the secret hideouts of our childhood. Visiting places that captured our imaginations and gave us the memories to offer something so simple and innocent. Overnights take place on our island with an extended canoe trip and voyage down the Potomac River.

All changes to itineraries go through the Calleva Office first!
