Office, Activity Camp Councils, Explorers Camp, and many programs start at Riley's Lock. Conveniently located at the confluence of Seneca Creek and the Potomac River, our office and equipment storage allow quick access to some amazing natural resources. Riley's Lock is a starting point for many corporate and school programs as well as some camp activities.

Our 168 acre farm is home to the one and only MARKOFF'S HAUNTED FOREST, CEEP (Calleva Equestrian Educational Programming) horseback riding, lessons, boarding etc. AGRICULTURAL TOURISM (outdoor & environmental education for schools and corporations using agricultural-based programming styles including ropes courses and team building challenges).

Although most Horseback Riding programs take place at the Farm, almost all Riding BIRTHDAY PARTIES take place at this location. This is also the home for the EXPLORERS Riding classes, explorer campers will be transported daily for half day instruction.
ISLAND:
Potomac River, MD / VA (depending on which way you swim!) Good thing is that if you are going to "Adventure Island" programming starts at our Office at Riley's Lock. Our secret get-away island has wonderful programming options including Camping, Ropes and Activity options. Map of Island is available upon request, please contact office. A big "Thank You" to the 2005 Barrie School Extensive Study Week for the tremendous work and effort in creating this amazing Island.

ANGLER'S INN / C&O CANAL:

Paddlers parking lot is the place to launch your kayaking adventure. We use Angler's for many of our river-based programs and is an ideal location for beginner-intermediate paddling instruction. If you've signed up for kayaking chances are we are meeting here! Parking is scarce, so beware of heavy traffic on weekends.
CARDEROCK:

When you pull into Carderock, make sure you go right at the "T" and continue to last parking lot. Parking Lot is located a little bit back from the cliff tops, and an Instructor will be meeting you here look for a Calleva vehicle!
GREAT FALLS, VIRGINIA:

Either climbing, rafting, or kayaking could be meeting at this location. Park entry fee is required. After entry booth and fee, make first right (almost a u-turn) into "climbers" parking lot. Meet at Calleva vehicle and or Instructor. If late for climbing program, check climbers registration board for location on cliffs.
