WARNING: Calleva uses multiple locations in addition to the use of various parks and recreational facilities for our wide spectrum of outdoor programming. Please pay special attention to the LOCATION of your program on your contract/paperwork!

OFFICE:

13015 Riley's Lock Rd. Poolesville MD 20837 Click here to get driving directions from your address! Office, Activity Camp Councils, Explorers Camp, and many programs start at Riley's Lock. Conveniently located at the confluence of Seneca Creek and the Potomac River, our office and equipment storage allow quick access to some amazing natural resources. Riley's Lock is a starting point for many corporate and school programs as well as some camp activities.

FARM:

Our 168 acre farm is home to the one and only MARKOFF'S HAUNTED FOREST, CEEP (Calleva Equestrian Educational Programming) horseback riding, lessons, boarding etc. AGRICULTURAL TOURISM (outdoor & environmental education for schools and corporations using agricultural-based programming styles including ropes courses and team building challenges).

NATIONAL HARBOR:

160 National Plaza, Fort Washington, MD‎ Click here to get driving directions from your address! When we sail, we sail from the National Harbor!  For guaranteed wind and great sailing, we leave from the Main Pier and travel all around the Potomac River.  We also Rent out Canoes, Kayaks, Sailboats, and Bikes every weekend during the summer.  

SENECA BARN:

Although most Horseback Riding programs take place at the Farm, almost all Riding BIRTHDAY PARTIES take place at this location. This is also the home for the EXPLORERS Riding classes, explorer campers will be transported daily for half day instruction.

OTHER POPULAR AREA PARKS

Calleva uses many of the local parks as launch sites for our activities.

ANGLER'S INN / C&O CANAL:

Click here to get driving directions from your address! Paddlers parking lot is the place to launch your kayaking adventure. We use Angler's for many of our river-based programs and is an ideal location for beginner-intermediate paddling instruction. If you've signed up for kayaking chances are we are meeting here! Parking is scarce, so beware of heavy traffic on weekends.

CARDEROCK:

Click here to get driving directions from your address! When you pull into Carderock, make sure you go right at the "T" and continue to last parking lot. Parking Lot is located a little bit back from the cliff tops, and an Instructor will be meeting you here look for a Calleva vehicle!

GREAT FALLS, VIRGINIA:

Click here to get driving directions from your address! Either climbing, rafting, or kayaking could be meeting at this location. Park entry fee is required. After entry booth and fee, make first right (almost a u-turn) into "climbers" parking lot. Meet at Calleva vehicle and or Instructor. If late for climbing program, check climbers registration board for location on cliffs.
